CR WILEY | The First Institution
CR Wiley is a husband, father, podcast host, pastor of a church outside of Portland, Oregon, and the author of the book “The Household and the War for the Cosmos.”
For me his book was the crystal around which 20 years of thinking about masculinity instantly solidified.
What most men of the Renaissance want is a plot of land, a wife to share our lives with, noble work, children, a God to worship, and to be left alone. It turns out there's a word for that. It's called a household.
And not only does a household have significance for us as men, it has significance for God as well.
